Limousin
The Goldies herd, founded by Jim Goldie, was among the early importations of Limousin into the UK and have always strived to be at the top end of the market. Considerable success has been achieved with animals and semen exported worldwide. Today the herd is based on the finest French and British genetics and numbers 100 cows.
All cattle are performance recorded from birth. Many of our stock are well in to the top 1%. Performance figures can be accessed through the British Limousin Cattle Society website.

Lascard’s first crop of bull calves (all out of heifers) averaged £9206 and included Goldies Oswald (see photo). Oswald was the sire of The Deerstalker, Smithfield Champion and Spooks, Winter Fair Champion. Other Lascard progeny include Goldies Onyx, sold for 15,000gns and Goldies Tinkerbell, dam of Goldies Bob, Champion Carlisle, may 07, 20,000gns.
